In spring 2024 Informix 14.10xC10W2 came out. This version is a workaround. In the framework of an Authorized  Program Analysis Report (APAR) IBM fixed the following bug:

IT45318: POTENTIAL FOR DATA LOSS OR INDEX PROBLEMS IN TABLES LOCATED IN ROOT DBSPACE WHEN EXTENDED RESERVED PAGES ARE IN USE

Under certain circumstances (specific releases, lots of logical logs, dbspaces and chunks) an instance  may be at risk of data loss or index errors for tables located in the root dbspace. Please click for the details:
