Not a moment too soon before christmas the new Informix Release 12.10xC6 has been released. Besides the elimination of bugs included in the previous Informix release the new version offers a variety of enhancements – there is something for everyone! In the following we concentrate on improvements in the fields of Administration, High Availability and Performance. If you are more interested in TimeSeries, Warehousing or SQL you will be well served, too. In the following a selection of the latest features of Informix 12.10 xC6:
- Faster communication between HA Servers because of reduced latency
- Accelerated index transfer to the Secondary (HDR/RSS) using light scans wherever possible
- Easier cloning of databases using a new parameter
- Priorization of automatic Update Statistics
- Optimization of restore processes by defining prallel processes while running a backup
Important information for users who want to be up to date using the latest operating system versions: Informix 12.10xC6 is supported for UBUNTU 14.04. LTS, RHEL 7.1 and SuSE SLES 12.
